The machine type “LC” ensures high flexibility for different operations of gear hobbing because of the two parts bed. The
machines are especially suitable for machining straight and helical gears as well as worm gears. Because of the heavy rigid
construction it is possible to mount the machine without any foundation directly on the floor. The removal of the chips is done
by a chip conveyer inside the column bed, supported by worm feeders. The cooling liquid is stored inside the bed and in
tanks beside the bed.
Maintenance-free and high dynamic drives (AC) and various ratios of the backlash-free tool drives ensures the needful
torques up to 1000 rpm and power up to 32 KW for high performance machining.
The backlash-free machine drive can be equipped either with a double worm or a direct drive and is supported through
hydrostatic radial and axial bearings for high table load up to 50000 N and heavy radial stiffness. The water-cooled table
drive (AC) provides high accuracy and operating reliability. Due to wide table bores it is possible to mount cylinders for tool
clamping systems.
